Responsibilities
- Own, design, deploy, and maintain high-throughput backend applications supporting the SMB customer acquisition funnel.
- Build and evolve event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging patterns using Kafka, with strong data consistency, idempotency, and resilience.
- Scale and maintain integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment, and other business-critical platforms.
- Establish observability and reliability practices, including SLOs and proactive alerts using Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
- Translate business goals from Product, Marketing, and Sales into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture evolution, code reviews, cross-team collaboration, and peer mentorship.
- Use AI-assisted development workflows and engineering productivity tools to improve delivery, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Prior professional experience in backend software engineering using Kotlin, Go, or Java is mandatory.
- Production experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems.
- Practical experience with event-driven systems, asynchronous processing, Kafka or equivalent message brokers, and resilient API design.
- Experience with containerized microservices deployed on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Experience with data modeling and database management using PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory, and fluency in Portuguese is required for daily squad interactions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Marketing, Sales, and engineering stakeholders.
