Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services for automated attack surface analysis.
- Develop distributed systems for asset discovery and vulnerability scanning.
- Engineer monitoring and alerting systems for security data pipeline reliability.
- Collaborate with security researchers to deploy new scanning techniques.
- Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders to drive business impact.
- Set direction for critical technical areas to support rapid growth.
- Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of industry experience.
- Experience with infrastructure, AWS services, and scaling platforms.
- Strong product sense and thoughtful about trade-offs in infrastructure.
- Bonus points for interest in cybersecurity concepts like EASM and vulnerability scanning.
- Experience in technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects.
- Previous startup experience or a bias for action.
- Experience working on greenfield projects.
- Open to using AI to enhance skills and work efficiency.
