Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AI systems combining LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines.
- Build grounding and retrieval layers for accurate, context-aware generation.
- Define evaluation systems to measure accuracy, latency, cost, and user impact.
- Handle real-world complexities such as malformed specs and ambiguous queries.
- Make architectural tradeoffs between latency, quality, and cost.
- Ensure production reliability through observability and safe degradation.
- Work across the stack from backend systems to user-facing interfaces.
Requirements
- Experience building with LLMs in production.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript or Python programming skills.
- Experience with embeddings and retrieval systems.
- Familiarity with prompting and structured outputs.
- Experience in evaluating and iterating AI systems.
- Comfort with APIs and structured data formats like JSON and OpenAPI.
- Experience designing and shipping end-to-end systems.
