Responsibilities
- Shape the technical vision and architecture for developer infrastructure used across Wix.
- Identify development-lifecycle friction and build simple, scalable solutions to improve engineering velocity.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from exploration and design through implementation, adoption, and production.
- Write code, investigate problems, build prototypes, and improve existing systems hands-on.
- Create tools and workflows spanning repositories, services, pull requests, local environments, and production.
- Drive AI-native engineering practices and integrate new capabilities into developer experiences.
- Influence engineering standards, collaborate across infrastructure and product engineering teams, and mentor engineers without formal people management.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant work with large-scale systems, developer infrastructure, or engineering platforms.
- Deep frontend engineering expertise, including TypeScript, Node.js, modern development workflows, build systems, testing, and delivery.
- Strong system-design and architecture skills, with the ability to connect developer workflows to broader platform concerns.
- Demonstrated success initiating and delivering complex technical projects with impact beyond the immediate team.
- Experience leading through influence, building alignment, and driving execution across multiple teams.
- Strong product thinking, developer empathy, problem-solving, communication, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Practical experience using and integrating AI to improve how software is built.
- Preferred experience includes internal developer platforms, CLIs, SDKs, build tools, CI/CD systems, local-development infrastructure, Scala or Java environments, multi-repository workflows, and large-scale developer-tool adoption.
