Responsibilities
- Develop backend software solutions, APIs, microservices, tools, and scripts.
- Document code, architectures, procedures, operational tools, and technical requirements.
- Gather functional and non-functional requirements and define acceptance criteria in JIRA stories.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Write unit tests and perform integration, usability, and accessibility testing.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and support reliable, maintainable, and scalable software.
- Follow secure development and data architecture guidelines for collecting and storing information.
- Provide design documentation and information to the data team.
- Collaborate on operational automation and efficiency improvements.
- Promote accountability, proactive problem-solving, and an inclusive company culture.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- At least 1 year of professional Java development experience in a team environment.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Experience creating microservices and consuming REST services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, and Git.
- Experience with JIRA and Scrum practices.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies within the company's technology stack.
