Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise solution and integration architecture for EHR, ERP, digital, clinical, research, administrative, and IT transformation initiatives.
- Translate institutional strategy into architectural roadmaps, actionable designs, platform milestones, and technology investment plans.
- Evaluate technology requests, emerging technologies, vendors, and legacy-system decommissioning opportunities.
- Establish architectural principles, standards, templates, governance reviews, escalation models, and solution catalogs.
- Gather and translate stakeholder requirements, facilitate design workshops and reviews, and communicate decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide architectural oversight for major initiatives, including integration of cloud, on-premise, and hybrid systems and validation of performance, scalability, and security.
- Mentor junior architects and technical staff and support disaster recovery, business continuity, post-implementation reviews, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least eight years of experience developing and overseeing solution architecture, enterprise systems design, or IT strategy.
- Experience with vendor relationship management and leading IT transformation initiatives in complex environments.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field and at least ten years of enterprise architecture or solution design experience.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare, hospital, medical education, research, new-facility technology design and implementation, Epic, ERP platforms, Microsoft Azure, HL7, and FHIR.
- Preferred certifications include TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAFe Architect, and PMP or equivalent.
