Base Salary
$167k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and roadmap for a customer- and partner-facing web platform spanning frontend interfaces, backend APIs, authentication, and cloud infrastructure.
- Write code, make architecture decisions, review and approve codebases, and manage environment promotion and releases.
- Directly manage and mentor a small team of engineers, including code reviews, workload prioritization, and technical guidance.
- Direct and review external contractor deliverables for third-party system integrations.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents across cloud infrastructure and identity/authentication systems.
- Design and implement reliable, resumable, and auditable data migration and integration scripts between enterprise systems.
- Analyze platform performance and user experience using monitoring tools and real-user feedback.
- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and external partners and drive integration and architectural decisions.
- Maintain documentation and reference implementations for customers and internal teams.
- Support applicable Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including production ownership of a customer-facing web application.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers, including distributed or contractor teams.
- Strong programming experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular and a backend language or framework such as Python or Node.js.
- Experience with REST APIs, authentication systems, state management, responsive design, databases, caching, microservices, and application security.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-platform deployment automation, and debugging complex distributed web applications in production.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred: a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent years in software engineering with progressive leadership scope.
- Preferred: experience coordinating offshore or contractor engineering teams, large-scale enterprise data migrations, service-management platform integrations via API, enterprise identity and authentication protocols, and semiconductor, hardware, or regulated enterprise environments.
