Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate mission-critical software services for autonomous mining products.
Deliver small features across distributed services for machine coordination, equipment management, navigation planning, collision detection, and safeguarding.
Collaborate with product, hardware, and operations teams to deliver software for mine sites worldwide.
Develop automated unit, integration, contract, and system tests and integrate them into delivery pipelines.
Instrument and monitor services, troubleshoot production systems, and improve operational excellence.
Mentor junior engineers and influence technical decisions, architecture, quality, and scalability.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
At least 2 years of professional software development experience building and delivering complex software systems to customers.
Strong programming skills and proficiency with object-oriented design patterns and clean-code practices.
Experience with REST APIs and the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, automated testing, and production operations.
Hands-on experience developing automated tests at unit, integration, contract, and system levels and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to instrument and monitor services and apply operational excellence practices to troubleshoot and improve production systems.
Understanding of security and data privacy best practices and their application in system design and implementation.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and influence technical decisions.
Preferred experience with event-driven microservices, cloud-native deployment patterns, containerization, network protocols, distributed application debugging, and performance analysis.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including occasional international travel.
