Responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom software tools and automation for Operations Engineering and the manufacturing floor.
- Integrate shop-floor equipment and MES through SECS/GEM for equipment connectivity, tool control, and real-time monitoring.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Drive projects from initiation through delivery, including scope, schedule, risk, and resourcing.
- Define and improve engineering and project-management processes, standards, requirements, issue tracking, and progress metrics.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors on infrastructure, cloud, security, and shared tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8–10 years of software development or engineering experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals across Windows and Linux, with experience in Python and C/C++; C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Groovy, and BASH are beneficial.
- Hands-on factory automation, MES integration, and equipment connectivity experience using SECS/GEM and SEMI E5/E30.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
- English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with make files, compilers, assemblers, linkers, shop-floor tool interfaces, and real-time equipment monitoring at scale is preferred.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred.
- Semiconductor or factory-operations experience and Japanese or Chinese language proficiency are preferred.
