Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, model development, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, user support, and operational support.
- Develop and enhance Java applications, including existing and new batches, while addressing functions, enhancements, and fixes.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and assess system design and functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install and support customer-facing systems.
- Define and follow operating standards and processes, assess risk, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, advisor, or coach to stakeholders and lower-level analysts.
- Perform performance tuning, code reviews, unit testing, and production support.
- Work under an agile methodology and manage projects, deadlines, and changing requirements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant Java development experience, including Java 17 or later.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Cloud Config, Spring JDBC, Spring WebFlux, Kafka, Apache Flink, Spring Kafka, gRPC, ECS, MongoDB, REST APIs, JUnit, and SQL basics.
- Experience with Java performance tuning, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Gradle, Splunk, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools including TeamCity, uDeploy, Jenkins, Harness, SonarQube, and Snyk.
- Experience with design patterns, coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience in systems analysis, software application programming, and successfully managing and implementing projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and handle changing expectations or requirements.
