Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for complex features across frontend, backend, internal systems, and integrations.
- Test complete user journeys from UI through databases and APIs to identify integration issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Analyze product requirements and technical specifications to identify edge cases, business-logic scenarios, and potential bottlenecks.
- Lead regression, end-to-end, UI, API, database, and cross-browser testing, including defect tracking through resolution.
- Track and report test coverage and quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- Own the end-to-end QA process, including test strategy, execution, release readiness, and Go/No-Go decisions.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, apprentices, and working students.
- Identify and drive improvements to QA processes and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Strong experience testing full-stack applications across frontend UI and backend APIs.
- Practical experience with frontend test automation using Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium and with cross-browser testing.
- Practical experience with AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Very good knowledge of HTTP protocols, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
- Strong experience with API testing and automation using Postman, Newman, Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Sentry, New Relic, and Kibana.
- Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, including targeted use of AI tools for test-case creation and automation.
- Prior web development experience with PHP and MySQL is a plus.
- Experience with visual regression testing or accessibility tools and WCAG is a plus.
