Base Salary
$200k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end across API design, backend logic, and frontend experiences.
- Build and evolve Observe’s flagship AI SRE product for AI-powered signal correlation and production issue resolution.
- Develop the AI SRE Slack integration for real-time interaction with the AI SRE agent.
- Build developer-facing CLI tooling, its supporting APIs, and evaluation pipelines for model and system quality.
- Expand Model Context Protocol integrations for agentic AI systems.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs as both a producer and consumer.
- Collaborate with product and design to deliver thoughtful user experiences and implementations.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required.
- Demonstrated experience building full-stack web applications across backend logic, API design, and frontend surfaces.
- Experience with server-side Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, Hono, or similar.
- Experience building or working with agentic AI systems and tool-use patterns using SDKs such as the Vercel AI SDK, Anthropic Agent SDK, LangGraph, or Tanstack AI SDK.
- Experience implementing Model Context Protocol servers over HTTP.
- Experience building agent-first CLI systems using Node.js or Bun.
- Strong product mindset with attention to user experience and implementation quality.
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-moving codebase without sacrificing quality or maintainability.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on production experience with LLMs, agents, and evaluation pipelines is a bonus.
- Experience with Bun as a runtime is a bonus.
- Prior work on developer tooling, internal platforms, or productivity infrastructure is a bonus.
- Contributions to open-source AI, tooling, or observability projects are a bonus.
- Familiarity with Observe’s platform or the broader observability ecosystem is a bonus.
