Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native, high-scale systems for enterprise customers and broadcasters.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and internal and external engineering teams to deliver features and reliable services.
- Design well-architected services with clear boundaries and strong alignment.
- Improve application speed, scalability, security, and maintainability through engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and promote knowledge sharing.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor AI in the development workflow.
- Serve as a trusted technical leader and promote engineering excellence and a strong DevOps mindset.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including designing and building production systems at scale.
- Strong experience with data-driven architecture and modern systems design, including REST APIs and microservices; GraphQL is a plus.
- Proven ability to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable production software.
- Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory data stores at scale.
- Solid understanding of core software engineering principles and patterns.
- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows or using AI to enhance product capabilities.
- Experience with SaaS platforms and cloud-based ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab or GitHub, and automated deployment tooling.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures, with AWS serverless or container experience preferred; willingness to learn may be considered.
