Responsibilities
- Design and evolve scalable cloud-native services for video and audio streaming.
- Architect and optimize distributed, real-time data pipelines connecting cameras, cloud services, and end users.
- Build and operate fault-tolerant, cost-efficient video transcoding and multiplexing services.
- Define service-oriented architectures, APIs, and interfaces for platform-wide streaming.
- Develop clean, reliable, testable backend code that performs under heavy load.
- Collaborate with product, hardware, and infrastructure teams on new video capabilities.
- Drive engineering improvements in performance, reliability, and best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience in Go or Python.
- 7+ years of experience designing and building large-scale resilient distributed systems using service-oriented or microservice architectures.
- 6+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and deployment automation such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- 6+ years of experience with databases, queues, blob storage, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Ability to apply systems design principles to simplify complex workflows and deliver scalable solutions.
- Track record of building services with strong performance, reliability, and security.
- Bonus experience with IoT devices, real-time streaming technologies, or multimedia formats and pipelines such as H.264, H.265, or FFmpeg.
