Base Salary
$364k - $505k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term technical vision and strategy for efficiency, reliability, and scalability across Google’s user-facing products and services.
- Work with executive stakeholders across Ads, Search, Geo, YouTube, and Platforms and Devices to understand, align, and improve reliability challenges.
- Direct the development and safe adoption of AI-enabled tools to reduce toil, improve incident response, and detect user pain points.
- Help lead the transformation of SRE toward AI-first production practices.
- Identify reliability issue classes and prioritization methods, and influence teams to align and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
- Experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Experience with concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.
- Preferred experience driving collaboration across organizational boundaries and building stakeholder relationships.
- Preferred ability to identify strategic connections, adopt different perspectives, and respond to changing circumstances.
- Preferred ability to cultivate cross-organizational strategic opportunities.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
