Base Salary
$160k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, build, and launch AI-powered workflow automation products for government services.
- Own AI product development from identifying agency and resident needs through shipping production-ready solutions.
- Use retrieval-augmented generation to handle complex regulatory and compliance data.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and government domain experts to create intuitive, reliable, and auditable workflows.
- Build multi-agent orchestration for complex, multi-step approval processes such as permitting and business licensing.
- Leverage cutting-edge models and custom LLM systems for accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
- Use agency feedback and real-world usage data to improve trustworthy and transparent automation features.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software or product engineering experience in high-growth startup environments.
- Experience building user-facing applications for enterprise and/or consumer users.
- Hands-on experience building products with generative AI at their core.
- Strong familiarity with large language models, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
- Product-minded approach focused on usability, impact, and translating AI capabilities into reliable workflows.
- Ability to iterate quickly from prototype to production using data and customer feedback.
- Motivation to improve government services and alignment with GovWell’s core values.
