Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, debug, and support enterprise automations using Automation Anywhere Automation 360.
- Develop unattended and attended bots integrating web, desktop, Excel, file, database, API, enterprise, and legacy systems.
- Build reusable components and follow Automation Anywhere development standards, naming conventions, coding practices, and governance processes.
- Implement exception handling, retries, recovery, logging, alerting, configuration management, credential security, and audit mechanisms.
- Work with Control Room, Bot Agents, Bot Runners, schedules, triggers, queues, device configurations, and Workload Management.
- Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs, web services, SQL queries, and database operations.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, peer reviews, technical validation, defect resolution, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Support bot deployments, environment promotion, release activities, post-production validation, platform upgrades, migrations, regression testing, and compatibility assessments.
- Monitor production automations and improve their performance, stability, and resiliency.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration details, support documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for junior automation engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development, automation, or RPA experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Automation Anywhere experience, preferably with significant Automation 360 experience.
- Strong experience developing, debugging, deploying, and supporting Automation Anywhere bots.
- Experience with Automation 360 Control Room, Bot Agents, Bot Runners, queues, schedules, triggers, deployments, Workload Management, and workload distribution.
- Experience with exception handling, retries, recovery, logging, alerting, configuration management, Credential Vault, lockers, credential management, and secure bot development.
- Experience automating web and desktop applications, Excel, files, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, .NET, or equivalent programming and scripting languages.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevSecOps, unit testing, debugging, defect resolution, and production support.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, testing, deployment, release management, security, auditability, and data-protection requirements.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Automation Anywhere Certified Essentials Professional certification is required.
- Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced Professional certification is required for the P3 position.
- Automation Anywhere Certified Master RPA Professional certification is preferred.
