Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable Python backend solutions using modern frameworks.
- Design, build, and integrate LLM-powered features such as RAG pipelines, AI agents, and tool or function calling.
- Design and maintain RESTful and optionally GraphQL APIs.
- Build event-driven systems and manage distributed or background job processing.
- Oversee cloud deployments and infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
- Implement CI/CD, observability, and cost and performance optimization for AI workloads.
- Lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and uphold high engineering standards.
Requirements
- Seasoned experience with Python-based backend development, cloud-native application delivery, scalable platforms, and API design.
- Experience with Python, FastAPI or Flask, asynchronous programming, SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with Azure or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, and Pytest.
- Experience building LLM-powered applications using OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex AI.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI agents, tool use, function calling, multi-agent orchestration, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Preferred experience with LLM operations and evaluation, model tuning or LoRA, Pandas, Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, OAuth2, JWT, SSE, WebSockets, mypy, and ruff.
- Ability to lead cross-functional delivery, mentor engineers, and align technology initiatives with business goals.
