Software Engineer III - Java AWS

- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Build and deploy distributed applications using Java and Amazon Web Services.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use Spring Boot and Kafka to deliver complex application capabilities.
- Analyze and visualize large datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use and evaluate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Apply secure coding, application resiliency, operational stability, and responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with distributed system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced Java programming skills.
- Practical experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on Amazon Web Services.
- Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot and Kafka.
- Experience interacting with technology and business stakeholders.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred: basic or intermediate Python knowledge.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
