Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software meets design constraints.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets, develop visualizations and reporting, and use identified patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools and practices, including testing, automation, application resiliency, and secure coding.
  • Guide peers on safe and effective AI use in engineering workflows and contribute reusable engineering patterns.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Experience using AI-based tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar across the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, security, and software development lifecycle practices.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
  • Hands-on exposure to AWS and AI code-assist tools is required or strongly emphasized.
