Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, integration, and validation of autonomy and active safety systems.
- Execute vehicle and Hardware-in-the-Loop test plans for active safety, ADAS, and unmanned ground vehicle control systems.
- Develop software, test automation, and software tools to improve validation efficiency.
- Develop system requirements, verification activities, traceability, system architecture, design documentation, and technical reports.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide validation data and insight to design teams.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers, including travel to off-site test locations as needed.
- Use CAN-based diagnostic and analysis tools and system architecture software.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to entry-level engineers, designers, or technicians.
- Support feasibility studies, cost studies, time estimates, proposal development, and risk identification.
- Maintain quality-conscious designs with attention to cost and reliability.
Requirements
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Three or more years of related experience.
- Experience developing and validating autonomy, active safety, ADAS, or unmanned vehicle systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, verification, and traceability.
- Experience with CAN-based diagnostic and analysis tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, or Vehicle Spy is preferred.
- Understanding of software development cycles and software validation.
- Ability to analyze technical information, write requirements and reports, and communicate with internal and external groups.
- Ability to provide general instruction, scheduling, and review of related work as a lead worker.

- Pay range is $79,300.00–$126,900.00 annually.
