Responsibilities

  • Develop and design web applications and components across front-end and backend systems.
  • Design, code, test, and implement websites and applications for internal or external use.
  • Troubleshoot performance, response-time, capacity, and system-limit issues.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and database, systems, and networking resources.
  • Ensure organizational data quality, integrity, and consistency.
  • Integrate AI into software development workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior software engineering role.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Ruby as a core language.
  • Expert knowledge of API design and interface technologies including JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML.
  • Expert knowledge of front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Expert knowledge of database design and queries, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of integrated testing frameworks such as RSpec and MiniTest.
  • Working knowledge of CI suites such as CircleCI and Jenkins, plus DevOps and AWS infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of GoLang, Java, or a similar compiled, high-concurrency, lower-level language such as Erlang, C++, or Rust is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
