Responsibilities
- Design and build custom tools, scripts, and applications using AI, LLM, and APIs to generate realistic simulated traffic.
- Develop and maintain scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant core services for cybersecurity range simulation.
- Lead end-to-end technical projects, guide architecture, and mentor engineers.
- Create emulated cloud services and synthetic data pipelines for realistic attacker and defender activity.
- Implement code reviews, monitoring, alerting, and quality practices to support high uptime.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and content developers to translate training requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain system design, architecture, troubleshooting, and other technical documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in an object-oriented language such as Java, Kotlin, or Python, plus API design involving HTTP/S, OAuth, and SAML.
- Proficiency using AI, LLM, and API capabilities for automation and simulation challenges.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and deploying services with Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet for managing virtualized platforms such as VMware.
- Experience working in or developing for air-gapped environments.
- Expertise in virtual networking architecture, segmentation including VPCs and subnets, and secure connectivity solutions.
- Experience or familiarity with cybersecurity, including offensive and defensive security.
- Ability to lead, drive, and delegate team initiatives and make pragmatic technical trade-offs.
