Responsibilities
- Lead application development efforts for enterprise geospatial solutions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain geospatial applications, user interfaces, workflows, APIs, dashboards, and integration workflows.
- Support ArcGIS Enterprise and related geospatial services.
- Support geospatial data management, visualization, analysis, and application integration.
- Perform application testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment, and maintenance across development, testing, production, and operations environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, data, and program teams to meet DHS IT requirements and mission needs.
- Address cybersecurity, role-based access, and privacy requirements in application development.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and user guides.
- Provide technical guidance to application development team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least six years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience leading application development teams or development workstreams.
- Experience developing user interfaces, workflows, APIs, web applications, and geospatial solutions.
- Proficiency with Python, C++, JavaScript, C#, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, or related Esri technologies.
- Experience collaborating with infrastructure, security, data, and program teams.
- Experience supporting applications within federal IT, cybersecurity, or compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A master’s degree, ArcGIS APIs and SDKs experience, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server experience, cloud-native development experience, Kubernetes experience, GIS dashboards and visualization experience, federal geospatial program experience, automated deployment experience, or Esri technical certifications are preferred.
- Willingness to undergo the government-issued background investigation process is required.
