Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend software features and product improvements with guidance from senior engineers.
- Contribute to distributed, highly available microservice architectures.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability by identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Use AI coding tools such as Copilot and Cursor to improve productivity and learning.
- Collaborate with engineers, product management, and SRE/DevOps teams.
- Participate in incident resolution and learn from production issues through postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent internship/project experience.
- Foundational knowledge of backend development and production environments.
- Understanding of software development and architecture concepts and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Preferred familiarity with Java, Node.js, JavaScript, Python, web application frameworks, Spring, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, Git, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, continuous delivery, and AI coding tools.
- Clear communication, attention to detail, creative problem-solving ability, flexibility, and commitment to continuous learning and quality results.
