Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, operate, and support software products for risk management, risk controls, workflows, and operational needs.
- Own product capabilities across architecture, implementation, integration, deployment, reliability, and ongoing production support.
- Develop and maintain production code across React front ends, Spring Boot services, SQL data layers, microservices, APIs, and event-driven components.
- Create high-level and low-level system and component designs focused on scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and usability.
- Apply testing, code review, paired programming, continuous integration and deployment, and other modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, platform teams, control owners, and partner engineering groups.
- Coach or mentor engineers and help improve technical capability across full-stack and product delivery.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with ownership of production systems across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on proficiency in React, Java, and Spring Boot.
- At least 1 year of experience coaching or mentoring engineers.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs, backend services, REST-based interfaces, SQL data stores, and event-driven components such as Kafka.
- Working knowledge of testing, code review, paired programming, test-driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Preferred experience with risk or control management, compliance workflows, secure software development, authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, large language models, machine learning concepts, or AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Cursor.
