Responsibilities
- Develop, test, implement, and maintain secure, stable, testable, and maintainable application code across multiple platforms.
- Identify test scope, risks, and testable items, and design automated test cases and scripts.
- Use Java automation frameworks and BDD tooling to validate digital applications, services, and systems.
- Automate code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Analyze application systems, support feasibility studies and implementation efforts, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Learn and document system functionality, architecture, dependencies, runtime properties, operations, and maintenance requirements.
- Participate in system design, performance, build, and technical implementation discussions.
- Build and maintain integrated development schedules while managing dependencies, constraints, and contingencies.
- Coordinate with users, clients, technology groups, peers, managers, and third-party service providers.
- Improve development processes, measure productivity, accelerate delivery, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks while complying with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in an application development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Java for test automation and application development.
- Experience with ALM or Zephyr, Cucumber, TestNG, and Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket for version control.
- Experience running high-traffic, distributed, cloud-based services.
- Experience leading infrastructure programs and affecting large-scale culture change.
- Experience working with third-party service providers.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, written, oral communication, and execution skills.
- Ability to identify test scope and risks, design test cases and scripts, and work in a data-driven, results-oriented manner.
