Base Salary
$118k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and design Kubernetes-based solutions with Principal Engineers and internal customers.
- Provision, configure, upgrade, and manage Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform operating system updates, patching, Kubernetes lifecycle management, and platform software updates.
- Monitor platform health and proactively improve system stability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform issues.
- Contribute to automation, tooling, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD initiatives.
- Participate in team on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting with RKE1/2 and CAPI.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Working knowledge of Golang and Python.
- Experience using GitHub for code and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation.
- Experience managing infrastructure maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
- Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive engineering mindset.
- Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure is preferred.
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Kubernetes networking, security and observability tooling, Kyverno policies, and Backstage is preferred.
