Base Salary

$110k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations among Jira, GitHub, Ketryx, and related tools.
  • Automate compliance documentation, test reports, and traceability matrices for FDA and ISO 13485 audits.
  • Write and maintain Python and shell scripts for internal developer tools, engineering velocity, code quality, and reduced manual work.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product engineers to troubleshoot build failures, optimize local development environments, and clarify software behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in software development, automation, test engineering, or DevOps, including strong internships or co-ops.
  • Proficiency in Python or another programming language and at least one shell scripting language such as Bash or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
  • Ability to debug pipeline failures and API integration issues, optimize build times, and document processes clearly.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLM APIs, SaMD, ALM/QMS tools, HIPAA, FDA/ISO 13485 quality systems, RESTful APIs, webhooks, AWS, and Docker.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $110,000 to $150,000, plus bonus and equity.
  • The role is based on Heartflow’s Platform team and involves collaboration with Software Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Regulatory teams.
