Base Salary
$115k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automation frameworks and testing strategies across backend systems and user-facing features.
- Evaluate and integrate code-quality tools and infrastructure-as-code solutions that streamline development.
- Improve build, release, and test systems and maintain efficient continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Use tools such as the OpenAI API to create deterministic and non-deterministic testing approaches.
- Build reusable automated tests and tools and promote quality practices among engineers.
- Collaborate with system software, automation, quality, and test teams to align testing strategies.
- Diagnose and resolve complex testing issues using system logs and backend process knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in automation engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows.
- Strong proficiency developing test automation tools and proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
- Deep understanding of observability and telemetry and a good understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
- Preferred experience designing scalable build, release, and test systems and working with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Preferred proficiency with Pytest and observability or monitoring tools including Splunk.
- Familiarity with machine learning model usage in product environments and experience with consumer electronics are advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
