Base Salary
$161k - $221k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a security subject matter expert for solution engineering and architecture reviews, especially in Detection and Response and enterprise security tooling.
- Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of enterprise security systems and feature enhancements.
- Build and maintain custom automation and cloud infrastructure with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Develop integrations with APIs, AWS, GCP, Azure, and security infrastructure to improve detection, response, and remediation.
- Create and maintain Python-based scripts and automations that streamline security operations.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant ETL/ELT and security event data pipelines and integrate log sources into the security data lake.
- Establish monitoring and alerting for security posture, misconfigurations, and threats across endpoints, SaaS, and cloud workloads.
- Identify and remediate security gaps and track emerging threats, solutions, and tooling.
Requirements
- 8+ years of coding and scripting experience focused on automation and custom tooling for security engineering teams.
- Python experience is required; Bash, PowerShell, or Go experience is a plus.
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and onboarding security data into a security data lake.
- Experience integrating log sources and building scalable, fault-tolerant security event data pipelines.
- Experience automating security controls and workflows using a cloud-first approach.
- Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for security automation and drift management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical staff, support teams, executive leadership, and external vendors.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearance when required by U.S. Government contracts.
- Experience building engineering solutions in regulated environments such as FedRAMP High, IL4, IL5, or IL6 is a plus.
- Experience with advanced identity technologies such as MFA, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and WebAuthn is a plus.
- Familiarity with Okta’s ecosystem, advanced configuration and integrations, continuous compliance, policy-as-code, or automated evidence gathering is a plus.

- Annual base salary range of $161,000—$221,000 USD for specified locations, with equity where applicable, bonus, and health, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending, PTO, parental leave, and other benefits.
