Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions for availability and reliability engineering.
- Lead large and complex initiatives involving automation, operational excellence, resilience engineering, and incident response.
- Develop software architecture, technical plans, engineering standards, governance mechanisms, and reusable solution patterns.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement performance, reliability, scalability, and system stability improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, training, design reviews, and mentorship to other engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, build prototypes, and contribute to long-term technical goals and roadmaps.
- Partner across engineering, product, and architecture teams to translate operational findings and technology risks into practical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced technical degree, relevant professional certifications, and expertise in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, microservices, container orchestration, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, observability, and resiliency engineering.
- Preferred experience includes infrastructure as code, deployment automation, telemetry, logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, operational analytics, root cause analysis, capacity management, performance optimization, recovery strategies, and production troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale reliability, resilience, operational excellence, restoration, or continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.
