Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and validate ASIC device drivers and test cases in C/C++ using Zephyr RTOS or equivalent Linux kernel and driver development environments.
  • Develop Python framework and infrastructure components supporting test execution, automation, and the validation run environment.
  • Assess and visualize ASIC test coverage, identify quality improvements, and conduct in-lab testing and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Contribute to scalable validation frameworks, reusable test cases, and improved validation methodologies.
  • Collaborate with ASIC architects and engineering teams across Austin and Sweden to define coverage plans and resolve technical issues.
  • Support platform management, test instrument setup, and technical discussions across IP, ASIC, and system levels.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of development experience with C/C++ and Python focused on hardware validation and embedded software.
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Git, IDEs, Unix/Linux operating systems, and bash scripting.
  • Ability to understand and articulate hardware architecture, data paths, and IP functions.
  • Solid knowledge of validation principles and test coverage strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with in-lab system work, platform management, and test instrument setup.
  • Ability to read and write technical specifications, learn new technical concepts, work independently through ambiguity, and collaborate across geographies and functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, coding-practice, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI-assisted validation or code development, network communications, hardware emulators, validation platforms, protocol or logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
