Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive, define, implement, and lead firmware integration and validation test plans.
- Debug firmware at the firmware level and source, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software bugs.
- Architect and implement test cases and frameworks to conduct testing and establish coverage.
- Identify and address gaps and inefficiencies in testing, execution, and coverage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to enhance and architect hardware/software solutions.
- Manage expectations, timelines, dependencies, handshakes, and deliverables across teams.
- Mentor and guide peers and other team members.
- Support all phases of product development from architecture through firmware development and debug.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 1+ year of technical engineering experience; or a master's degree and 4+ years; or a bachelor's degree and 5+ years; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred experience with platform initialization, manageability, security, motherboards, drivers, UEFI, BMC, operating systems, virtualization, memory management, and RAS.
- Preferred 8+ years of professional experience designing, developing, or testing software and hardware.
- Experience with SoC or platform architecture through final product shipment, hardware/software debugging, coverage assessment, and writing Python or similar scripts.
- Experience supporting multiple products, troubleshooting customer issues, architecting data center technologies, implementing hardware/firmware security primitives, and developing hardware/software coverage, stimulus, and test content.
- Experience with the firmware development lifecycle, especially firmware validation and integration.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
