Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, and REST APIs.
- Own requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, and production support across the software lifecycle.
- Improve application performance, security, reliability, scalability, observability, and resilience.
- Partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams to shape scope, manage timelines, and identify risks.
- Enable CI/CD and modern DevOps practices for safe, repeatable releases.
- Mentor engineers and promote coding standards and quality practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong Java and object-oriented programming skills with deep Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful services experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with API design and integration, secure coding, and performance tuning.
- Clear communication, problem-solving skills, and interest in mentoring.
- Preferred: experience with Azure or another major cloud provider.
- Preferred: exposure to Jenkins, Git, DevOps tooling, and agile ways of working.
- Preferred: knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
