Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and data solutions.
  • Build and optimize data processing workflows using Python and Pandas.
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes that collect, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Analyze large datasets and deliver actionable insights.
  • Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and data-related issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare technical documentation, knowledge-sharing materials, reports, and client presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Pandas, SQL, and data manipulation and transformation.
  • Experience in retail, commercial, or corporate lending and understanding of the lending lifecycle, including origination, credit assessment, underwriting, and servicing.
  • Familiarity with loan platforms, banking systems, system integration, APIs, and data flows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience with NumPy, Polars, PySpark, Scikit-learn, FastAPI or Flask, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI.
  • Preferred knowledge of cloud-based data architectures, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, containerized applications, Agile environments, data governance, and data quality principles.
  • Financial services, banking, lending, banking data, financial products, risk, credit, or regulatory reporting experience is considered an asset.
