Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of device state and notifications, partner integration, and mobile application teams.
- Design and build major software components, systems, and features across cloud, web, and mobile environments.
- Review architecture designs and uphold standards for availability, performance, usability, testing, and maintainability.
- Write code and lead code and technical design reviews for mission-critical real-time systems.
- Assess engineering risks and guide strategic technical investment decisions across the organization.
- Mentor and coach senior software engineers and develop future technical leaders.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver the product roadmap.
- Integrate real-time, geolocated device data and media feeds into map-based tools for emergency responders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience designing and building complex, highly available cloud systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience with stream processing and message brokers.
- Experience mentoring and growing senior software engineers.
- Ability to collaborate with customers, Product, and Design to create effective user experiences.
- Preferred experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with native iOS or Android mobile applications.
- Preferred experience with maps or cartography.
