Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the automation software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, and validation.
- Develop control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
- Participate in project meetings and support team members with control-sequence logic questions.
- Support system acceptance activities with customers.
- Participate in sea trials, including potential travel to worldwide locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
- Experience developing control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
- Bilingual French-English communication is required, along with strong English writing skills.
- Experience with Siemens S7 Safety is preferred.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS is preferred.
- Experience using Atlassian Jira and MS Office tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of naval and commercial certification standards and related processes is preferred.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Reliability and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearances.
