Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the automation software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, and validation.
  • Develop control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
  • Participate in project meetings and support team members with control-sequence logic questions.
  • Support system acceptance activities with customers.
  • Participate in sea trials, including potential travel to worldwide locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience developing control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
  • Bilingual French-English communication is required, along with strong English writing skills.
  • Experience with Siemens S7 Safety is preferred.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS is preferred.
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and MS Office tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of naval and commercial certification standards and related processes is preferred.
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Reliability and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearances.
