Base Salary
$181k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide strategic customers through the end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
- Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Embed with customer teams, engage stakeholders from technical individual contributors through executives, and provide training and technical guidance.
- Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, customer teams, engineering, and customer support to deliver engagements and resolve issues.
- Provide product and implementation feedback and contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices.
- Complete billable projects according to specification with strong customer empathy and measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps and ML/AI models and APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, plus curiosity and adaptability when exploring technologies.
- Databricks Certification is required.
- Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.
