Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for software applications or embedded systems.
- Write automated tests in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages and integrate them into development pipelines.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Manage functional and non-functional test coverage and validate new features and changes.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and technical teams to define testing strategies and automation practices.
- Build and maintain software and embedded-system test environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Test hardware-software integration, real-time performance, memory constraints, reliability, safety, performance, scalability, and functionality as applicable.
- Monitor test results, logs, and system behavior; identify issues and develop log-scraping and issue-tracking automation.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in QA automation, manual testing, security testing, performance testing, Agile QA, or Python/pytest-based hardware-firmware automation frameworks.
- At least 1 year of experience in embedded development and low-level programming, preferably using C.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong understanding of software development, QA practices and tools, and CI/CD pipelines; GitLab pipeline experience is a plus.
- Experience developing automated unit, integration, system, power, performance, and stress tests.
- Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and pressure-management skills.
- Preferred experience includes SCRUM, RTOS, Linux, GCP, BigQuery, and SQL.
