Base Salary
$80k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and deliver automated unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end functional tests.
- Own test automation strategy, assessment, architecture improvements, pipeline integration, and legacy regression coverage.
- Develop Requirements Traceability Matrices, test plans, test reports, release notes, Software Version Descriptions, and other formal QA documentation.
- Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, escalation workflows, weekly defect reports, and sprint-level QA metrics in JIRA.
- Lead Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and prepare VPATs, remediation reports, and conformance documentation.
- Lead stress and load testing in the ProdSim environment and coordinate disaster recovery and IV&V activities.
- Enforce quality gates and zero-defect production thresholds across the SDLC and DevSecOps pipeline.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, quality status reporting, stakeholder communication, and mentoring of junior QA engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software quality assurance, test automation engineering, or related software testing experience with a BS/BA, or 3 years with an MS/MA.
- US citizenship, an active Public Trust clearance, and a cybersecurity workforce certification such as Security+ or CASP+.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, or Java.
- Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development practices within Agile sprint cycles and proficiency with JIRA.
- Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrices, UAT plans, and formal testing documentation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated test integration, and DevSecOps environments.
- Experience with Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and VPAT preparation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for reporting QA status and metrics to program and Government stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include ISTQB certification, Federal or DoD IT program experience, eMASS, Fortify Software Security Center, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, performance/load testing, ServiceNow, and mentoring experience.
