Responsibilities
- Write Web Platform tests and Gecko mochitests to improve Session History coverage.
- Fix test failures and Gecko correctness problems.
- Debug issues in a large, mature browser-engine codebase.
- Work through code review with Gecko module owners and iterate changes to landing.
- Improve Gecko correctness and test coverage so senior engineers can focus on security, performance, and strategic projects.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in a browser-engine codebase or browser-engine automation, ideally Firefox/Gecko.
- Solid JavaScript skills applied to automated testing.
- Proficiency and experience developing software in C++.
- Strong debugging skills in a mature, large codebase.
- Comfort working in the open through public bugs, code review, and upstream landing.
- Prior contributions to Gecko or another major browser engine are preferred.
- Familiarity with web standards and Web Platform Tests is preferred.
