Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term strategy for the iOS platform and customer-facing mobile experiences.
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality iOS applications and services for vehicle connectivity, mapping and navigation, EV charging, purchasing, and other digital initiatives.
- Influence technical direction across multiple teams and establish iOS engineering best practices and architectural consistency.
- Identify and resolve systemic challenges involving scalability, performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Lead complex initiatives from concept through delivery while managing technical decisions, risks, and long-term platform investments.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels through architecture reviews, design discussions, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration.
- Evaluate emerging mobile technologies, tools, and techniques and advocate for appropriate adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping customer-facing iOS applications.
- Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS development practices.
- Experience defining mobile architecture, technical strategy, and engineering best practices across multiple products or teams.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across engineering, product, design, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience in startup settings, launching 0-to-1 products, and evolving them into highly customized applications.
- Preferred: automotive systems experience or experience building mobile apps connected to IoT devices.
- Preferred: mobile app testing, experimentation framework, and automation framework experience.
- Preferred: experience with cloud technologies and services such as AWS or Azure.
