Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction of core payment domains and design and evolve large-scale fintech systems.
- Own the stability, scalability, security, and performance of core payment services, including Coupay.
- Identify complex technical challenges and design and implement fundamental solutions for payment services used by tens of millions of customers.
- Lead the architecture of payment back-office, settlement, and reconciliation systems while improving operational stability.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and other Fintech engineering teams.
- Raise the organization’s technical bar through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems based on Java/Kotlin and the Spring Framework.
- Experience owning and proactively improving one or more complex services or domains.
- Ability to design systems with strong consideration for performance, reliability, data consistency, and security.
- Experience structuring ambiguous problems and making technical decisions that produce tangible business impact.
- Ability to translate customer experience and business requirements into well-architected technical solutions with strong ownership.
- Preferred: experience leading architecture design and migration in JPA- and MSA-based environments.
- Preferred: payment or fintech development and operations experience.
- Preferred: experience with incident response, monitoring systems, and SLA improvement in high-traffic environments.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale data processing and settlement and reconciliation accuracy.
- Preferred: technical leadership in agile software development environments and influence through technical judgment and system design.
