Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to deliver software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7 or more years coding across multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, mentoring engineers, applying observability to distributed systems, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Preferred qualifications include establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
