Front End Developer, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces for financial services applications.
- Build reusable UI components using React, Angular, Vue.js, or another modern JavaScript framework.
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and handle data flows, errors, and performance considerations.
- Translate UX/UI designs and wireframes into accessible, high-quality front-end code.
- Write and maintain unit and component tests for front-end functionality.
- Apply State Street-approved design systems and UI standards to create consistent and reusable components.
- Support production readiness through bug fixes, minor enhancements, and release validation.
- Maintain documentation for front-end components, dependencies, and integration assumptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, UX/design, and globally distributed teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on front-end web application development experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including responsive design principles.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful backend services and handling asynchronous data flows.
- Understanding of basic front-end security considerations, authentication flows, and common client-side issues.
- Familiarity with version control, code reviews, structured development workflows, and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated environment where quality, consistency, and documentation are important.
- Exposure to enterprise UI standards, design systems, front-end testing frameworks, CI/CD integration, and performance optimization is preferred.
- Awareness of digital asset concepts such as custody dashboards, tokenized assets, transaction history views, or blockchain-adjacent user flows is preferred.
- Exposure to Node.js for front-end support or lightweight backend-for-frontend services is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams across time zones.
