Base Salary
$130k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and Kubernetes-based orchestration.
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure for a high-throughput real-time data platform.
- Lead CI/CD pipeline evolution and own infrastructure-as-code standards and GitOps adoption.
- Champion observability, SLOs/SLIs, incident response, on-call processes, postmortems, and reliability improvements.
- Partner with Security on secrets management, network segmentation, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
- Mentor DevOps/SRE engineers, provide technical leadership, conduct design and code reviews, and lead major-incident root-cause analysis.
- Drive cloud cost optimization and evaluate new infrastructure tools, platforms, and automation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, including leading technical initiatives.
- Deep expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and container orchestration such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar tools, plus configuration management experience.
- Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.
- Scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, or Groovy for automation and tooling.
- Experience operating complex distributed systems and developing solutions with Docker.
- Experience managing Linux/Ubuntu systems.
- Experience implementing monitoring across network, server, application, and database layers.
- Experience with Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog, Runscope, Logstash, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, continuous integration, testing, deployment, and relational databases such as Postgres.

- Base salary range is USD130,000–USD190,000, with stock options for eligible project44-employed team members and possible bonus or commission eligibility.

- The role requires working on-site at the headquarters three days per week.
