Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver digital signal processing and machine learning features for intelligent audio products.
  • Simulate algorithms using Python, MATLAB, and other prototyping tools.
  • Collect and evaluate algorithm performance data, conduct objective audio testing, and perform subjective listening validation.
  • Translate real-time audio processing and machine learning algorithms from simulation models to floating-point DSPs, ARM platforms, or PCs using C/C++.
  • Optimize, test, and debug algorithms on real-time target platforms to meet MIPS, memory, latency, and fidelity requirements.
  • Document algorithm designs and performance.
  • Collaborate with acoustics, analog/digital/RF hardware, mechanical, systems, and product management teams.
  • Estimate, organize, and plan work tasks with a technical mentor and present contributions to stakeholders and executive management.

Requirements

  • Completed at least three years of coursework in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, data science, AI/ML, or an audio-related major with an emphasis in Digital Signal Processing.
  • Experience with MATLAB or Python is required.
  • Experience with C, C++, or Assembly language programming.
  • Experience designing audio DSP software or hardware, preferably with embedded implementations or MATLAB/Python simulations.
  • Experience with development tools including integrated development environments, compilers/linkers, and debugging tools such as emulators or profilers.
  • Understanding of embedded platform development, DSP coursework, AI/ML algorithm projects, psychoacoustics, A/V conferencing, microphone arrays, HRTFs, 3-D or immersive audio, augmented reality, or audio test and measurement equipment is a plus.
  • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
