Base Salary
$134k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, integrate, test, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems for autonomous platforms.
- Develop software tools and applications for mission planning, automated control, unmanned platforms, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring within small engineering teams across the complete software development lifecycle.
- Translate complex mathematical and algorithmic concepts into software applications in collaboration with research scientists.
- Support software and systems architecture at the system and system-of-systems levels.
- Apply code review, unit testing, test coverage, static analysis, and test-driven development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 5+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience with C++ or Java.
- Full-stack development experience with a heavy focus on backend algorithmic development.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and backend executable optimization.
- Experience developing, implementing, integrating, and testing autonomy algorithms and software.
- Experience leading small engineering teams of approximately 2–4 engineers through the software lifecycle.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, Agile development tools, and test-driven development.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. government for the clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include an MS or PhD, active security clearance, reinforcement learning, agentic AI, embedded and physical-device programming, multi-agent coordination of UxVs, MAVLink or other C2 protocols, ROS, TAK, constraint satisfaction algorithms, knowledge representation, ontologies, and Python.
