Responsibilities
- Research and develop reinforcement-learning algorithms for planning.
- Design efficient model architectures that run in real time on vehicle computing platforms.
- Develop offline data-driven ML infrastructure for rapid adaptation of planning models.
- Deliver production planning software and collaborate with perception teams on autonomous-driving systems.
- Use large-scale field-testing data to improve autonomous-driving technologies.
- Design, run, and analyze experiments and tests using real-world data.
- Partner with system software engineering specialists to ship industrial-strength ML models.
- Collaborate and communicate with multifunctional teams.
Requirements
- Education in engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field focused on reinforcement learning or artificial intelligence, or equivalent experience.
- Three to five-plus years of experience with machine-learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Strong applied reinforcement-learning experience, including model architecture design, model training, data mining, and data analytics.
- Strong Python programming and software design skills.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, code optimization, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience with model deployment and optimization tools such as ONNX and TensorRT is preferred.
- Experience in autonomous driving or robotics production solutions is preferred.
- Hands-on experience developing reinforcement-learning planning engines for autonomous-driving or robotic systems is preferred.
- MS or PhD-level education in engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
